We liked The Littlest Owl by Caroline Pitcher. We have been studying owl, so this fiction story was so fun to read! This is about a baby owl who is smaller than his brothers and sisters. He has a hard time learning to fly. Read the book to find out what happens when a storm comes.
We loved this book! It is called Dory Story by Jerry Pallotta. A little boy sails away on a dory even though his mom told him not to. He sees lots of ocean animals eating each other. He hopes he does not get eaten! There is a great surprise ending, but we won't tell you!
We really liked Caps For Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina. In this book, a peddler is selling caps but no one will buy a cap. He sits down by a tree and all his caps disappear. Read this book to find out what happened to his caps.
We liked the book Duck! Rabbit! by Amy Krouse Rosenthal. In this book, one child thinks the animal is a duck. The other child thinks the animal is a rabbit. What do you think? Is it a rabbit or a duck?

Happy Rhyme Time Week! We have been reading and writing lots of silly rhymes this week. One book we really love is There's A Wocket In My Pocket! by Dr. Seuss. We loved it so much we decided to write our own version. It is not done yet, but here is a sneak peak!
